281 HISTORIC RESOURCES Corridor Context 18 Chapter Franklin Zoning Ordinance Effective July 1, 2024 18.7 Corridor Context 18.7.1 Description A. The corridor context edge treatment preserves the setting of the historic resource along a scenic corridor in the SCO where development is proposed across a street from and within view of a historic building; B. New buildings within view of the historic resource are designed to be similar in scale and architectural character with the historic building. 18.7.2 Standards Where the historic resource property is at least two acres, any new lot fronting an arterial or collector street across from the historic resource property shall be at least two acres, to lessen the potential adverse impact and intensity of the new development. The new lot may be an open space lot or contain up to one principal building.
