Development For the purposes of Section 17.6, Floodplain Protection, any human-made change to improved or unimproved real estate, such as buildings or other structures, mining, dredging, filling, grading, paving, excavating, drilling operations, or storage of equipment or materials. Development Site The total area of land contained within a development project. Development Standards For purposes of the State Vested Property Rights Act of 2014, all locally adopted or enforced standards, regulations or guidelines applicable to the development of property, such as the following: planning; local storm water requirements, layout, design; local construction standards for buildings, streets, alleys, curbs, sidewalks; zoning; lot size; lot configuration; yard dimensions; and all other development standards under this Ordinance, and off-site improvements, including public or private infrastructure, in which an applicant may acquire vested rights or vested property rights according to the Act.
