23 358 Chapter Defined Terms DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATIONS Franklin Zoning Ordinance Effective December 30, 2019 Front Lot Line The boundary line of a lot, which abuts a street. Front Yard The open area located between the front facade of a building or structure and the front boundary of a lot that typically is the edge of an existing or proposed street right-of-way. The front yard extends the entire width of the lot. Frontage As defined in Subsection 7.1.1, Frontage Description. Frontage-Facing Garage A garage whose vehicular entrance faces a frontage. Frontage Facing Garage Functionally Dependent Use A use the intended purpose of which cannot be utilized unless it is located or carried out in close proximity to water. The term includes only docking facilities, port facilities that are necessary for the loading and unloading of cargo or passengers, and ship building and ship repair facilities, but does not include long-term storage or related manufacturing facilities. Funeral Homes An establishment engaged in undertaking services, such as preparing the human dead for burial or cremation, and arranging and managing funeral services. g Garage A detached accessory structure or part of a dwelling unit used for the parking or storage of vehicles as an accessory use.
