23 380 Chapter Defined Terms DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATIONS Franklin Zoning Ordinance Effective December 30, 2019 Shed A simple roofed accessory building that is typically used for storage, a shelter for animals, or a workshop. Shoebox-Style Lighting Fixture An exterior lighting device in the shape of a box that is typically mounted on a pole and constructed to direct illumination to a discrete area directly beneath the lighting fixture. Short-Term Vacation Rental A dwelling unit used, in its entirety, for transient occupancy, for which the City has issued to the owner a business license for such use, in accordance with the Municipal Code. Showroom A large room used for displaying a company’s products for sale, such as vehicle models, appliances, furniture, plumbing or lighting fixtures. Showrooms typically have a small office component for sales. Shrub A woody plant, growing 18 inches to 15 feet in height at maturity, consisting of several small stems emerging from the ground or small branches near the ground. Shrubs may be deciduous or evergreen. Side Facade A side of a building and connects the front and rear facade. A side facade faces an internal lot line or a secondary street or secondary internal drive.
