Canopies shall have a maximum clearance height of 15 feet from the finished grade to the underside of the canopy. 3. Canopies shall use the same exterior materials and architectural style as the principal building. Each column or post shall have a base of brick, natural stone, or cultured stone. 4. Canopy lighting shall comply with Subsection 14.3.5, Canopy and Awning Lights. E. Carports 1. Carports, whether attached or detached, shall comply with the principal building type standards for materials, material changes, and colors. 2. Carports, whether attached or detached, shall comply with the accessory structure setback in the applicable zoning district. 3. The parking area dimensions shall be at least 10 feet by 20 feet of clear space per vehicle parking space. 4. The footprint shall not exceed 50 percent of the building footprint of the principal building. F. Detached Garages 1. Detached garages shall comply with the principal building type standards for garage interior dimensions, materials, material changes, and colors. 2. Detached garages shall comply with the accessory structure setbacks in the applicable zoning district; however, if the lot abuts an alley, the detached garage shall instead comply with the alley-loading garage standards of the building type. 3. The building footprint shall not exceed 50 percent of the building footprint of the principal building. G. Drive-In/Drive-Through Facilities Drive-in or drive-through facilities shall be located behind the building; however, service windows may be located on a side facade only when the side facade faces away from any street.
