88 The Vision: Completing The Square Franklin City Hall Master Plan MASTER PLAN COMMUNITY FEEDBACK RESULTS �There is strong support for the direction the new city hall is headed. �The proposed form, massing, and scale for the new city hall fits well on the Square. �Architectural style and detailing should be traditional to complement the historic Public Square (to be designed in Phase II, Schematic Design). �The inclusion of the sub-grade parking is widely supported. �The incorporation of sustainable design strategies to achieve LEED Silver is widely encouraged. �Upper story building setbacks, rooftop terraces, as well as site amenities will be refined during Phase II, Schematic Design. After the release of the Preliminary Masterplan, an online survey was hosted on the project website to gauge the community’s satisfaction with the preliminary Masterplan. The survey results show that 134 people took the survey and of these 134 people, 90.47% responded that they are very satisfied or satisfied with the direction the new City Hall is headed. In addition to the survey, feedback was solicited through additional virtual and in-person public meetings which included a meeting with Franklin’s Historic Design Review Committee, a Large Family Room Virtual Chat with the general public, two BOMA Worksession meetings, and a Joint Conceptual Workshop with BOMA and the Franklin Municipal Planning Commission. The results from the feedback received during the final round of Community Engagement are listed below.
