DRAFT FRANKLIN HISTORIC DISTRICT DESIGN GUIDELINES 38 Residential Buildings Additions to Historic Residential Buildings Size • Limit the size of an addition so that the building footprint of the addition is no more than 50 percent of the building footprint of the historic portions of the building (that are at least 50 years of age).
