EFFECTIVE MAY 30, 2022 129 This Chapter provides guidelines for all signs within Franklin’s historic districts, which is organized by signs for commercial buildings, residential buildings, civic buildings, and residential infill neighborhoods. When considering signage, the appropriate guidance will be found in the Section that most closely addresses the form of the original building prior to any additions. This Chapter is intended to ensure that signage does not detract from the historic and architectural features that characterize the district.
