EFFECTIVE MAY 30, 2022 137 chapter 8 Appropriate Sign Types Sign types that may be appropriate for the entrance into a residential infill neighborhood include: Signs for Residential Infill Neighborhoods These signs should only be considered as part of a residential neighborhood that will be developed on a new street within the district. The selection of the appropriate sign type should be based on the surrounding historic context. Guidelines for each type of sign are found in the Specific SignGuidelines Section. Number of Signs A neighborhood entrance onto a new street should have no more than two development entrance signs that flank the new street. If a post-and-arm sign or post-and-panel sign is determined to be more appropriate, only one sign should be used to designate the entrance.
